I just returned from a beautiful weekend up at the mountain. Spent the days hiking, frolicking, and getting messed up… if only i could stay there the rest of the summer. Well, here are some tracks to kick off your week….. Its gonna be a long one.
Griz is and up and coming star I just recently discovered. His Funky, soulful, superfly rhythms remind me of Pretty Lights. iLL type moves samples my favorite middle school anthem, Jump on It! Here are three tracks to start your week off right.
Sidney Samson’s summer has been nice. That is, for you and I. Seems like he has been pumping out hits for months now. This latest one is easily my favorite of the bunch, if I were you, I’d give it a full listen.
To end the birthday celebration, a fantastic, feel-good, summertime grovin’, crusin’ n boozin’ banger to listen to the rest of the summer. This is a classic sample, and A. Skillz does a nice job with this one. Enjoy!
Twitter can be the devil sometimes. The only thing talked about this weekend is how awesome Tomorrrowland is….. why cant I just attend all music festivals? Nevertheless I hope all those in Belgium are having an unforgettable weekend. Now here are some tracks to spice up your sunday.
I have about 10 mixes of Lights by Ellie Goulding on my computer. This Progressive house banger is a nice change from all of the dubstep mixes. Ellie Goulding – Lights (RAC Mix) Download
Got Pengiun? I really didn’t think this song could get any better. But Avicii has recruited some nice vocals to throw over his hit Penguin. He is planning on releasing an vocal mix, but until then we can rock out to this mix put on by Alex Prigenzi
Avicii – Fade Into Darkness (Alex Prigenzi Vocal Mix) Download
Finally…. I had my computer on shuffle yesterday and came across this song. I had never listened to it, but this 2007 jam brings a different element then we are use to hearing from the SHM trio and Laidback Luke.
Really, really can’t express how excited I am to go see PL throw down at Red Rocks in Colorado comin’ up soon in August.
To get ya’ll ready for the weekend, I dun got me a new Pretty Lights track. Not normally the biggest fan of country music, but this track makes ya wanna chew a long piece of grass, crack a cold one and sit back on your rockin’ chair while PL takes you on a journey.
Brand new one from Afrojack, this guy is everywhere right now. Collaborating on the track with senor Afrojack are Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and Nervo. Absolutely loving Afrojack’s recent trend of epic trance-like builds for his masterful drops.
Just some food for thought… public transportation is far more enjoyable when you are not sober! That being said, here are 3 tracks I rocked out to on my ride home from work today.
One of my favorite Avicii tracks….. made even better??? Levels (Clockwork Mix) – Avicii Download
I have been waiting weeks for this track since I first heard it at USC 14. It is not traditional Laidback style, but something I could get definitely get use to. Natural Disaster – Laidback Luke Download
Finally, electro house at its finest….. Lick the Rainbow – Mord Fustang Download
A few seemingly random tracks for ya, the first two very catchy great sing-a-long songs for you and the family! Yay! In all seriousness though both are great tracks sure to keep you whistlin’ while you work…or don’t work…the latter is probably better.
Pumped Up Kicks – Foster The People (Gigamesh Remix)
Big Fan of Gigamesh, loved his remix of Cooler Than Me, and this mix has the same funky rhythm and feel good lyrics.
Bassnectar sure surprised me with this track, absolute head-banging, kilt shaking, beer spilling keltic madness on this track. Gogol Bordello is 8 totally unique individuals, including: an Asian woman, Black man, Russians, Jews, Italians, and Latinos…see what I’m talkin about?
Anyway the song will get you amped, it would have even before Bassnectar put his magical touch on the track, now its guaranteed to get granny outa that rocker- and rockin’ again.
Welcome everyone to another week, Mondays are always slow so here are some absolutely lovely, filthy, incredible bangers to keep you going all week.
This is my first time listening to James Egbert, but I like what I hear. Reminds me of a Porter Robinson/ Lazy Rich style with some nicer drawn out synths in the middle. You won’t be sorry you decided to give him a try.
Glitch Mob released a beautiful new EP titled We Can Make The World Stop. The first track we had the pleasure of hearing debuted at Sasquatch just a couple months ago, its a beautiful melodic adventure, enjoy.
