I love what Big Bird did with the Bassnectar show recap post. I think we need to start writing reviews for every show we attend. I always enjoy reading and hearing about other people’s concert experiences. It’s great to give people a perspective of what it’s like seeing these artists perform live. The picture above was taken by my fiance Emily. That’s literally how close we were to Chad and Dave. It was incredible being able to watch them work their magic. There were times during the show were I would just stare in awe as their hands and fingers seemingly controlled the entire venue.
Tritonal kicked things off playing their new collaboration with Super 8 & Tab entitled Arc. I had never heard the song before and encourage everyone to give it a listen on YouTube. Next came their remix of Wake Your Mind by Cosmic Gate and an absolute BANGER from Kryder called Scorpion.

After working the crowd into a frenzy with Scorpio, Tritonal did something really cool to change up the vibe. They chopped up the end of Scorpio and cut the sound for a couple seconds. Then came the recognizable piano opening of the EDC intro edit of Mat Zo’s Lifted remix. It was almost as if they started their set over and I thought it had a cool effect on the crowd. A spree of Tritonal tracks followed. They played their mashups of Let Eventide and Broken Antalya, along with the club mixes of Can’t Keep It In and Everafter.

The boys played different genres throughout the course of their set. After getting into the Tritonal songs, they played some more mainstream progressive and electro house songs. My favorite from this section was Alesso’s Years. I was completely underwhelmed by Don’t Worry Child, the latest single from SHM. iROK by Tom Fall always gets my energy level super high so that was a nice follow up to the SHM cheese. Sander Van Doorn’s track with Julian Jordan called Kangaroo made an appearance as well. Tritonal followed that with Allein by Eric Prydz, which was absolutely amazing live as always.

The last hour the boys tranced it up a bit, and that was perfect for the late part of the night. They made the transition with Armin’s We Are Here To Make Some Noise. It was the perfect segway from the previous electro house songs they had played. Tritonal followed up with an absolute bomb from W&W. Their remix of Waiting by Dash Berlin completely floored me; I simply can’t get enough of this song.

It was nothing but trance from here on out. Chad and Dave dropped their latest mashup Break My Slave, which I featured last week. Next was Craig Connelly’s amazing remix of Concrete Angel. Ben Gold is another name to watch in the trance scene. He’s been featured on several Tritonal tracks including Slave and Apex. Tritonal played his latest single Where Life Takes Us. The Maor Levi remix of Can’t Keep It In was played as well.

The end of the night was definitely my highlight. If there is one song that will never get old for me, it’s the Arty mix of Punk by Ferry Corsten. It flat out GOES OFF, every single time it gets played live. For an encore, Tritonal dropped the Seven Lions remix of Still With Me. The melodic dubstep was a perfect way to wrap up the madness that just ensued.
