Eric Prydz is back with a new EP under his progressive Pryda moniker. Releasing the infamous ID track from the third episode of EPIC Radio along with an unreleased Pryda track that has been a staple in his sets the last few years.
Layers was first premiered back on EPIC Radio 003. I’ve been hooked on this song since first listen. It’s got a light, playful feel from Eric. Definitely a departure from some of the heavy, darker stuff he’s been releasing lately. As always, Eric’s signature builds and progressions are evident. The drop is subtle and almost techy in nature, which I love. This track has already gotten support on both Pete Tong and Above & Beyond’s weekly radio shows.
Rotonda is a Pryda track that was first premiered by Eric at his EPIC show at Alexandria Palace back in 2011. Prydateers have been begging for the release ever since. This song definitely has somewhat of a Cirez D feel to it. It’s not as dark as Eric’s Cirez material, but the techno elements are definitely there.
